Took this one off a Facebook group. This 1963 VW Beetle Window made me laugh out loud.

As a reference, the fastest recorded acceleration speed of a production car was clocked for the Porsche 918 Spyder at 2.2 seconds, according to this site.

A portrait of myself that was shot after a opera performance of my girlfriend’s daughter. I generally hate pictures of myself because I think my PD is showing. This one is a rare exception. It might be that it was shot through a window which softens the ‘mask’ my face generally is as a result of the PD.

Noteworthy in this picture, apart from the Southern European Ambiance, is the reflection of the window in the building across the street. Which is clearly visible in the balcony doors on the 2nd floor.
This picture was taken in a little Barcelona area which probably used to be a fishing village before being gobbled up by the metropolis.

What you see here is the new wing of Museum Boijmans van Beuningen in Rotterdam under construction. The reflection in the mirroring glass windows give you a sense of what the view from inside the building will be. The unfortunate side-effect is, the museum is closed during what they call a ‘renovation’. See the above link.

This building is part of the Calypso complex, designed by the English architect William Alsop. They finished erecting it only in 2013. The building symbolizes the flow from the newly build city center and the old Western part of the city.

Monday rush-hour in Japanese subway

This is a photo of a photo by Michael Wolf taken during an exhibition – Life in Cities – in the Hague. It perfectly captures the experience most Japanese – and gai-jin’s for that matter – must endure when traveling by subway in the notorious Monday rush-hour.

If you think you’re relatively safe from the madness if you’re so ‘lucky’ to have captured a window seat – think again! David Wolf’s exhibition certainly brought back lots of memories. Not all of them were good ones…
